Colin Champsaur (born 1974) graduated from the Fine Arts school of Marseille in 2003, the same year he cofounded the Editions moinsun. He has then exhibited in several group shows among which, in 2010, "La peur du Vide" (Générale en manufacture, Sèvres), "Crash Taste" (Fondation Vasarely, Aix en Provence), "Correspondances" (Bezalel, Yaffo 23, Jerusalem), "Take Shape - Make Shift / Prendre forme – Provisoire" (Instants chavirés, Montreuil). As artist in residence in 2009 at the Générale en Manufacture in Sèvres, he curated the exhibition "Petites morts et autres traboules". He also curated the exhibition "Derrière la forme / douces combinaisons" at Galerie Bonneau Samames, Marseille.

"Colin Champsaur’s artistic work is an open structure which crosses over genre frontiers producing sculpture, photography, drawing, video, curating… The scope is to launch a peculiar dynamic (threshold/passage) between what is made, and what is built and search for their isotropic correlations.
It is thus a matter of combining realities :
- The first combination produces re-presentations that have a logic and meticulous relation with a fragmented reality that serves both as a miraculous and banal investigation field supplying material and form (that is reality beyond reality, photos of the world as an image collection, formal and metaphysical qualities pointed out in old objects for the diverse references and model heritage they add to art pieces as inserts would do…)
- The second combination is one that produces art pieces with plain legibility and visual rhetoric. Through heterodox ways, constructions of heterogeneous and polysemous form and meaning reveal tools and manipulations, aesthetic questions and narrations, Cartesian dualism and wanderings, dialectical figures and mental scenario, intellectual experimentation and daydreaming realms, tangible objects and holes…"
